Brief history

NORTHMORE STUD, which also incorporates the nearby Middle Stud, is one of the few remaining private studs in Newmarket. The Stud has been in the same ownership since 1991 and has excellent facilities for both the breeding season and sales preparation and prides itself on the personal and professional service provided to each client. Special concessions are offered for permanent boarders and Rossdales Veterinary Scheme is accepted.

The Stud welcomes both Full-time boarders and walking in Mares and has an outstanding reputation for getting Mares in foal. It also welcomes foals and yearlings for turn out or sales preparation.

The facilities include Foaling unit with CCTV and veterinary room with stocks. During the season the stud has daily attendance from Rossdales and is backed by a 24-hour veterinary service, if needed. The stud has its own teaser, horsebox, horse walker and lunge ring. There are 3 separate yards, one of which consists of an American barn, which also has its own stocks. As well as the main paddocks, the stud has 10 nursery paddocks, thus allowing young foals to be turned out without danger or, they are used for resting Mares or horses that may need to recuperate.

A STUD where peace and tranquillity reigns, situated on the edge of Exning village, only two miles from Newmarket and located within a few minutes of Rossdales Equine Hospital.

Directions

Follow the signs to Exning from either Newmarket Town Centre or the A14. Go through the village of Exning, heading towards Burwell. Take the road on right named North End. Northmore Stud is 400 yards along on the left the entrance being through electric double wrought-iron green gates.
